Board of Directors

Mary Childs is a member of the Waterford RTM and has been a Special Education for 27 years. She currently teaches at Oswegatchie School in Waterford. She has volunteered for Connecticut Aquatics Club and Niantic Community Church and is a member of AFT and CEA. 

Doris is a stay-at-home mom, an alternate member of the Planning and Zoning Commission, a volunteer for the nonprofit Waterford Residents for Inclusion and Social Equity, or RISE, and vice president of the Oswegatchie School Organization, a parent teacher group. She spent 10 years teaching in schools in the Bronx, N.Y., and in rural Mississippi.

José B. González has served in numerous volunteer roles throughout Southeastern Connecticut, including coaching youth lacrosse, basketball, and soccer. He has been on the Board of Trustees for the New London Public Library and the Lyman Allyn Museum. He is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of LatinoStories.Com.
